Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, has all the facilities of a modern capital, and yet it has preserved its small-town friendliness and relaxed atmosphere. It is a vibrant city full of surprises. It has a population of 330,000 whereby 10% of the population are students. This is the primary reason of why Ljubljana has youthful ambience.

Despite modernization Ljubljana has managed to preserve the old city core with Renaissance, Baroque and Secession facades, ornamental portals, meandering roofs and romantic bridges over Ljubljanica river. The old town buildings from Castle Hill down to the Three Bridges make a characteristic sight of this town. The excursion also offers you a chance to take a train ride up to the Castle of Ljubljana, one of the main symbols of the capital. The Castle Tower provides spectacular views across the entire city.
