Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, has all the facilities of a modern capital, and yet it has preserved its small-town friendliness and relaxed atmosphere.

It is a friendly city with visable remains of the Roman city of Emona. Ljubljana has a baroque old part of town with narrow cobbled streets nestled between the castle hill and the river Ljubljanica. The architecture of the city centre has lots of contrasting styles from art nouveau mansions to chic modern buildings. There is enough time for shopping, strolling through the old town or for just having a nice cup of coffee in one of numerous street caffees.

After that you visit one of the largest caves in the world and the largest Slovenian cave, Postojna cave. Underground world of Postojna was formed by the river Pivka over millions of years. During the ride by electric train and later on during the walk through different halls of the cave you will have a chance to admire spectacular stalagtite and stalagmite formations, expansive cave areas and also a special salamander-like creature, an amphibian called 'human fish' or Proteous anguinuius.
