Triglav national park - Vrata valley Print E-mail
Price includes: entrance fee for the Pocar farmhouse, guide, transport by car
Duration: half day

This half day excursion takes you to a beautiful part of Triglav national Park, to Vrata valley, which is one of three Triglav valleys. It actually represents a kind of entrance to Triglav northern wall, which is supposed to be the most dangerous for climbing in the country and the second most dangerous in Europe, after Northern wall of Mt.Eiger in Switzerland. Mt.Triglav is the highest peak of Slovenia (2.864 m).

We make a stop beneath two beautiful Pericnik waterfalls and you can climb to the lower waterfall, while the upper one is on higher altitude and not that easy accessable.
The highlight of the excursion is a visit to Pocar farmhouse in the heart of the national park. This is an old house renovated as museum explaining the unique story of the history of the valley and residents of the farmhouse. You will see how people lived at the turn of the 19th / 20th century and what tools they used.
